Paoletti guitars are absolutely extraordinary boutique guitars with a unique take on a tried and true, classic design. The beautiful brass split-design pickguard and aging on this Nancy Loft Lee Malia Signature’s awesome Black over Sunburst finish are very artistically done and the roasted maple neck is both aesthetically pleasing and feels fantastic.

The playability is absolutely off the charts. The meticulous attention to detail is immediately evident. It’s a guitar that really gets the job done and sounds absolutely phenomenal! The fretwork, which needs to be of the highest standard for a guitar of this price point, more than meets expectations – the craftsmanship is something to marvel at and the neck is expertly carved from top to bottom.

Tonally, this guitar does feel similar to an old-school “T” type axe, with a hot-rodded twist – a vintage-output humbucker in the bridge instead of the lower-output “T” single coil. The bridge pickup is nice and bright while having some great fullness and body to it. It’ll handle distortion really well and can hit your pedals and amp with some solid punch to retain definition even when heavily saturated. The neck pup is rich, warm, and creamy with the classic F-style single-coil vibe. The pickups are hand-wound, which gives them a lot of the same sort of magic that was found in some of the most iconic guitars of yesteryear. Lee Malia’s choice of hardtail bridge and traditional T-style controls offer a simple and reliable platform for the discerning player.
