Description
Expand Your Options with the Shanling MCD1.3 CD Player: Compact Unit with Independent Power Supplies and AKM DAC System Serves as a Digital Source Hub, Features I2S Support, Bluetooth, and MQA Decoder
A CD player in name only, the Shanling MCD1.3 is actually a highly flexible digital source hub. It serves as a full MQA decoder; Bluetooth receiver for aptX HD, LDAC, and AAC; and Wi-Fi center for DLNA, Apple AirPlay, and NAS options. Elegant and compact, the 3.77 x 11 x 11-inch device delivers audiophile sonics via two independent power supplies, a flagship AKM AK4191EQ/AK4499EX DAC system, and hand-picked capacitors from Nichicon, Panasonic, and Wurth Elektronik. Advanced Japanese KDS active crystal oscillators at 90MHz and 98MHz, in concert with fourth-generation FPGA architecture, further ensures excellent decoding accuracy and precision.
Based on the Ingenic X2000 platform, and using an SAA7824 drive with a laser unit made in one of the old Sanyo factories to achieve smooth, error-free reading, MCD1.3 plays your silver discs with detailed, dynamic, natural sound. Yet it also delivers up to 32-bit/768kHz high-resolution performance when you tap into its enhanced I2S output and flexibility with coaxial, optical, USB XMOS XU316, and Bluetooth inputs. A 5.1-inch LG touchscreen, remote control, and app support extend its user-friendly versatility.
Able to be connected directly to amplifiers or active speakers thanks to its Muses8920 pre-out and built-in volume control, MCD1.3 also touts a dedicated TPA6120 headphone amplifier for times when you want to listen in private. A pair of balanced XLR outputs and a pair of RCA analog outputs complement the I2S, coaxial, and optical digital outputs. No matter how you employ MCD1.3, you can rest assured you’ll be enjoying your music in stunning fidelity.
