We’re stoked to present this Iron Red Andy Wood Signature Modern T! Elevating the vintage “T” platform to new heights, this is an awesome modern take on a classic design.

The neck feels like something you’d find on a guitar built for shredding. It’s extremely comfortable and lightning fast to maneuver around. The roasted maple feels luxurious, and while the jumbo frets are quite beefy, the impeccable fretwork keeps everything feeling perfectly dialed in, and you can really dig in on those big bends with no issues at all. This neck is a real playground. It’s a ton of fun.

The pickups are going to lean a bit towards a more modern “T” sound. Think of it like a vintage instrument on steroids. It’s still spanky. It still has that vocal-like single-coil quality to it. But these pickups clearly have a little more oomph to them. They don’t sound dead-on vintage, and they aren’t trying to. They will hit your pedals and amp a tiny bit harder. It sounds absolutely beautiful played clean, and can handle distortion better than most T’s we’ve heard. This is really quite a versatile axe and has quickly become one of our favorites.

Andy Wood is recognized as part of the forefront of this generation’s top influential guitarists. Currently touring as a solo guitarist and mandolinist along with working on a host of additional musical projects, Andy is also performing live with his own band promoting CAUGHT BETWEEN THE TRUTH AND A LIE, the double album which showcases his vast musical influences and abilities.

Andy’s Signature Series Modern T features a torched swamp ash body, roasted maple neck, and jumbo stainless steel frets. It’s available in Andy’s signature colors, Iron Red, War Black, and Whiskey Barrel in either HH or SS pickup configurations.

Suhr Woodshed single coils in SS model. Alnico 5 “Special” magnets.

TORCHED BODY

Prior to the satin finish being applied, the body is torched by hand, burning away part of the grain in the wood. The result is a unique feeling guitar, where the grain is felt through the satin finish.
