We are proud to continue to be premier Sandberg dealers! Made in Germany, this Florence in a classic Soft-Aged British Racing Green finish is a short-scale workhorse. This model takes a bit of a different route than their VS Lionel short-scale, going for more of a minimalist postmodern vibe with a single “power” humbucker in the middle position – almost reminding us of a certain Central California-based builder’s renowned basses – along with a resonant alder body, unique pickguard design, simple electronics, and an ultra-stable maple neck.

Effortless to play, this bass’s power humbucker really rocks hard to match. It definitely serves up a bolder bass tone that sits phenomenally in the mix and is suitable for a wide variety of genres. Adding that onto the familiar master volume, master tone platform provides a very straightforward configuration for players familiar with vintage-style instruments whilst optimizing playability and tone with modern engineering. The slim neck profile feels great and is one of the faster-playing bass neck profiles we’ve played.

Short scale bass lovers rejoice! You can now get the immaculate build quality of a Sandberg and the short scale feel and tone that you’ve always craved. For a German-made, thoroughly pro-quality instrument that leaves nothing to be desired and hangs with the best of them, we feel that the price is a very reasonable ask.
