Lyra designer Jonathan Carr solved this fundamental issue by developing a body structure with an unusually shallow angle and pairing it with a unique, asymmetrical damping system. When tracking force is applied, the force of the stylus on the LP causes the cartridge’s angles to assume a symmetrical shape, eliminating any discrepancies between the magnetic circuit, signal coils, and core.
