As proud Lakland dealers, we’re stoked to offer you this awesome Darryl Jones signature 5-string! It takes the 5-string “J” platform and elevates it to the next level.

The white pearl finish is gorgeous and it stands out nicely on the “J” body shape. Blizzard/White Pearl is one of our favorite colors here at the shop and the execution on this bass is just pure class. Featuring a maple neck and an ash body, the DJ-5 combines vintage tone with the extended range and modern versatilty of a contemporary instrument.

The Lakland pickups have everything you could ever want out of the perfect vintage-spec pickups. The smooth feel of the comfortable maple neck and the 35″ scale length keeping the low B string tight and responsive, adding to an exceptional playing experience.

Item Specifics

The Skyline Series Darryl Jones Signature Model DJ-5 features the same “updated classic” tone as Lakland’s DJ-4 model, but is combined with the legendary Lakland 35” scale – the reason all Lakland 5s have such fabulous bottom tone. When you talk about clarity, tautness and tone in regards to the low B, Lakland has made it their passion to perfect the formula. Graphite reinforcement bars are added for tonal stability and the dual vintage voiced single-coil Lakland pickups are hand fabricated and wound with exact tolerances in their Chicago shop. Looks, ergonomics, playability, and that big bottom tone make this one of Lakland’s most popular and longstanding models.
