Sweeter-sounding than its spicy cousin, but still packing authentic Fender tonal flavor, the Limited Edition Roasted Tomatillo Strat Relic is hiding a few special ingredients inside. The trio of Hand-Wound Tomatillo single-coil Stratocaster pickups are crafted using alnico 2 magnets, reproducing what aged, original-era alnico 5 magnets might sound like today. The pickup set includes a RWRP middle pickup to reduce hum, and are tied together with Strat ½-Blender wiring, which lets you blend the neck pickup in to taste when in position one—bridge pickup-only—unlocking sweeter, more flavorful tone. The two-piece body is crafted from alder that was selected for weight and grain, and then roasted to give it a gorgeous aesthetic and stabilize the wood. Crafted from roasted AAAA flame maple, the neck sports a “ ’63 Strat C”-shaped profile that’s comfortable for almost any playing style while the rosewood fingerboard sports a modern 9.5” radius and jumbo frets that will feel familiar to contemporary players.

Other features include 5-way switch, 3-ply Parchment pickguard, vintage-style synchronized tremolo bridge, vintage-style tuning machines with Fender logo, bone nut and wing string tree. Includes deluxe hardshell case, strap and Certificate of Authenticity.
