The low-pull magnetic field allows the strings to ring clearly and enhances the sound of the low “B” string. And like all DiMarzio® bass pickups, the Area J™ 5 cancels hum. With medium output and a very balanced tone, the Area J™ 5 works equally well with passive and active electronics.
